From your starting point, find your way to the M25. Take the Dartford Toll Crossing and follow the signposts to M20/M23/A282. Continue on this road which merges on to the A2 signposted toward Canterbury. Follow signs on the M2 for Dover/Channel Tunnel/Canterbury/Chatham for 25 miles. Then follow the A299 for approximately 20 miles which will then be signposted towards Ramsgate. You will then reach the A255 which you then follow for approximately a mile and a half taking you on to Honeysuckle Road. Look out for the Honeysuckle Inn pub. Facing the pub turn to your left and at the end of that road, to your right, is a public footpath which will then lead you to the synagogue site.
There is an hourly fast train service from St Pancras International to Ramsgate which takes approximately one hour and 15 minutes. There are more frequent but slower train services from Charing Cross and Victoria. Arriving at Ramsgate station you can take either a short taxi ride to the synagogue; ask for Honeysuckle Inn if the driver does not know the way to the synagogue or take the local ‘LOOP’ bus from the bus stop to your right on exiting from the station. Get off at the St. Ethelbert’s stop, Hereson Road, for Honeysuckle Road, which is on the other side of the road from the church.
