Timetable for Shiurim

To ensure the quality of individual access to the learning, participants will be split into two groups, each group running in parallel with the same instructor – but at different times to accommodate time zones in Europe and in Australia and North America. The times have been carefully arranged to cause the least inconvenience to the majority of participants.

Once a month, the weekly session will be replaced by a longer face-to-face session from the Montefiore College in London.

For rabbis in Europe, the weekly interactive internet sessions will be delivered from Eretz Hemdah Jerusalem on Wednesdays, between 21.00 and 22.00 hours, London time, summer and winter. Once a month the weekly internet session will be replaced by a longer face-to-face session at the Montefiore College in London on Tuesdays between 17.00 and 20.00 hours, London time, summer and winter.

For rabbis in Australia and North America, the weekly internet sessions will be delivered from Eretz Hemdah Jerusalem between 01.00 and 02.00 hours Israel time, late on Monday nights (or more correctly, very early on Tuesday mornings) in Israel – summer and winter.

All sessions are compulsory, except for the monthly face-to-face sessions in London which the Australian and North American rabbis are excused. They will be given an additional monthly interactive on-line session instead and be required to attend two separate residential week-long courses (location and timing to be arranged).

All sessions will be recorded.

The Week-Long Courses for Australian and North American Participants

It was originally planned to hold the two compulsory week-long courses at Eretz Hemdah, Jerusalem, for the Australian and North American rabbis as part of their programme. However, because of the distances involved, it is likely that these courses will take place in the United States instead, possibly in Los Angeles during the summer holidays. Assistance, if required, may be requested towards the cost of air fares.

These sessions will take place in either the first or second year of the course, and again in the fourth year.

In General

This Course, for participants living in three continents with different time zones, has not been run before and its details may well be varied later in the light of experience.
