The College
The Montefiore College, established by Sir Moses in memory of his wife who died in 1866, runs programs of higher Torah eduction. Its Semicha course was established to produce a new generation of rabbis for the Anglo-Jewish community. Five of its students have already graduated as rabbis; and over a dozen students are currently in training on its second programme. The College also plans eventually to launch a Dayanut course to train Dayanim to serve on Batei Din in the diaspora.
